Fundido encadenado-Break You Nice. Azucena Vieites

Fundido encadenado-Break You Nice.

MUSAC. Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León. León. 2012.

The exhibition Fundido chained – Break You Nice is presented as a continuation of a long work started by Azucena Vieites (Hernani, Guipúzcoa, 1967) through various previous proposals in Valparaíso (Chile), the Montehermoso cultural center (Vitoria) or Villa Iris ( Santander). Azucena Vieites’ work has been articulated around the use of drawing as “technique and ideology”, as a product of conscious and meaningful choice in the resolution of a plastic project based on the revision and iconographic appropriation of images that come from society and contemporary culture. Through an exhibition project that materializes in an installation in which the artist is confronted for the first time with the large format, fostered by the architecture of the MUSAC, the question of representation is approached, from the ludic and the fantasy, thus as from the experiences and expectations present in the processes of everyday life.
