Irantzu Sanzo conceives the artistic experience as a thought in itself. This objective has led her to work in different fields of art, education, research and design. As an artist, she has held group and individual exhibitions in museums such as the Huarte Center, the Guggenheim-Bilbao Museum and the Citadel of Pamplona, among others. She has also carried out artistic residencies at the BilbaoArte Foundation (Bilbao, 2013) and at The Banff Center (Canada, 2014-2015). As a researcher, she has recently obtained a doctorate from the Université de Pau et des Pays de L’adour (France) and the University of the Basque Country (2020). The main problem in her thesis deals with the question of methodology in artistic research within the Academy, concretized through repetition through the contemporary artistic process. Currently, she has published research articles in magazines such as ESTÚDIO, Artistas sobre outras Obras (2019), AUSART aldizkariaarte, journal for research in art (2020) and Sin-Objeto. Journal of Art, Research, Policy (2020).
